Leitrim Sculpture Centre in association with Leitrim County Council Arts Office are offering five residencies to visual artist’s during 2017.
Each residency takes place at the Sculpture Centre and includes an artist’s stipend of €2,400 and comes with a one-person exhibition at the end of the residency period. In addition to the stipend, accommodation and access to all facilities are provided.

HALFTONE is Dublin’s fresh new print fair, a celebration of the printed matter in all its forms. The fair is an initiative by PhotoIreland Foundation, with the support of Black Church Print Studios, and the partnership of Hahnemühle, Inspirational Arts, The Copper House, Hang Tough Framing and Picture Bloc.
In this second edition, visitors will enjoy a large selection of recent works by local and international artists using traditional and experimental printing approaches, from aquatints, cyanotype, and etchings, to silkscreen, photography, risography, and much more. It is both a great chance to discover and purchase new work, and learn more printing techniques.

Open Call For Works
Applications are now invited from fine art printers, illustrators, designers, photographers and any artists and creatives alike to submit works to be displayed and sold at HALFTONE print fair. Deadline Reminder | Arts Council Visual Artists Workspace Scheme 2017


The deadline for applications is 5:30pm Thursday 13 October 2016

This scheme is funded by The Arts Council and administered by Visual Artists Ireland.

Applications for this scheme will open on Thursday, 18th August 2016. Only applications made through the online system will be considered.

Visual Artists Ireland, on behalf of the Arts Council, invites applications for grants of up to a maximum of €40,000 towards the running costs of visual artists’ workspaces. In keeping with the Council’s policy document Visual Artists’ Workspaces in Ireland – A New Approach, this scheme has the aim of assisting artists workspaces throughout the country to provide the best possible environment for working visual artists and, where feasible, to enable a level of subsidy for resident visual artists.

The scheme will award grants of up to €40,000 towards running costs such as light, heat, rent, administration and/or appropriate management costs. (Capital costs cannot be applied for through this scheme).

The Olivier Cornet Gallery presents ‘Come with me, I’ll show you something beautiful’ a solo exhibition by botanical artist Yanny Petters. The exhibition is accompanied by a catalogue with a preface by art historian and storyteller Jean Ryan. Guest speaker at the opening is Fionnuala Fallon, author, gardening correspondent and designer


These Verre Églomisé paintings depict the twelve months of the year in the artist’s County Wicklow garden and celebrate the gifts of the artist’s mother to her daughter. Yanny Petters is renowned for her detailed paintings of plants and their habitats. This exhibition of Verre Eglomisé panels is dedicated to Wilma Petters whose garden was the inspiration for these twelve paintings, which tell stories about the artist’s relationship with her mother.
