Dr. Hilary Murray has a PhD in Neuroscience (UCD), an MA in Art in the Contemporary World (NCAD) and a postgraduate Certificate in Marketing (DCU). After spending time in Palo Alto’s Cantor Arts Centre, she worked at the Collections department at The Irish Museum of Modern Art before becoming the RUA RED Curator in Residence. Since 2014 Hilary has directed and curated ArtBox gallery in Dublin’s North in City (MONTO).
The gallery’s focus is new media and explorative research-based work, as well as academic interaction. Recent shows include The Anti-Room (Teresa Gillespie, Maria McKinney and Catherine Barragry), DEMOCRACY – a series of performance events, and Fiona Marron, PROVING GROUND. Recent off-site projects have included Intelligent Machinery at Farmleigh, Dublin.
