Founder and Director

Gallery Director of Hillsboro Fine Art, Dublin, was educated at Clongowes Wood College, Dublin City University and University of Oxford. Began post-college as an academic, lecturing at NCAD (film and media) and Open University, then spent time in the world of academic publishing before establishing Hillsboro Fine Art in 1995. He has been responsible for the first solo exhibitions in Ireland by many renowned international artists including Jannis Kounellis, Alan Davie, Gillian Ayres, Anthony Caro, Alex Katz, Markus Lüpertz and numerous others.

Though Hillsboro Fine Art continues to expand and develop its international links, its principal focus is on promoting Irish art and artists represented by the gallery; these include Paul Mosse, Lily Zoumpouli, Corban Walker, Patrick Hall, Patrick Graham, Michael Warren, John Noel Smith, Gwen O’Dowd, Eilís O’Connell, Eddie Kennedy, John Gibbons, George Warren, Eamon Colman, David Crone, Paddy McCann and Jonathan Hunter. The gallery is well known for the quality of its publications and Hillsboro Fine Art sources, purchases and places works of art on behalf of clients worldwide, acting as art consultant to many institutional and private clients’ collections.
