Sheena Barrett

Assistant Arts Officer and Curator

Curator Sheena Barrett joined Dublin City Council ten years ago to lead the development of the LAB Gallery having previously held roles at Breaking Ground, Temple Bar Gallery & Studios, the National Gallery of Ireland and the National Museum of Ireland. The LAB has become a critical platform for Irish practice through commissions, exhibitions, public programming, academic partnerships, cross disciplinary collaborations and commissioned writing.

Curatorial projects have included solo presentations by Barbara Knezevic Vera Klute, Lee Welch, Tsui Kuang Yu, Bea McMahon and Bridget O’Gorman. She is a founding member of MONTO Arts.
