The CCP International Award is intended to support applications from arts organisations planning to make applications to the EU Culture Programme 2007-14. The award will cover a portion of the costs associated with face-to -face meetings with partner organisations in Europe and will not support training costs or courses. Applicants must be able to demonstrate that they are in the process of preparing an application to the EU Culture Programme and be able to provide details of their proposed project and their key partners. It is likely that funding offered under CCP International will not exceed €2,000 and in most cases will be less. The CCP International Award supports applications from all art forms and arts practices. However, as the Culture Programme does not support audio-visual projects, film is not eligible for support under the CCP International Award. Please visit the Travel and Training funding page on the Arts Council's website to learn more www.artscouncil.ie [1]. Alternatively you can contact the CCP Ireland, Katie Lowry by email on ccp@artscouncil.ie for further
information.

The RDS announces the Call for Entries for this year’s Student Art Awards Competition. With a prize fund in excess of €16,000, the Awards encompass the Taylor Art Award, which is one of the most prestigious art awards in Ireland. The RDS Student Art Awards is open to full and part-time registered art students of award-bearing courses in Ireland. Entries are open to students whose artwork ranges from digital film, animations to the more traditional disciplines such as drawing, printmaking and sculpture. The Awards have been in existence for over 152 years and many previous prize-winners are high on the list of the great Irish Artists of the 20th Century.

This year the awards and prizes will include the Henry Higgins Scholarship Award which is awarded bi-annually and created by a bequest from Chief Justice Higgins in 1929. This Award will enable an art student of outstanding ability to avail of the advantages of travel and study abroad in order to assist them in their transition from study to professional practice. A new Residency Award at Ireland’s leading contemporary art centre, The Model, Co. Sligo has been introduced. The Model's acclaimed contemporary art programme features several major exhibitions of noted national and international contemporary artists. The Model Residency Award offers the successful RDS Student Art Awards entrant a one month residency in 2013.

The prize-winning and commended entries will be on display in the RDS Concert Hall at the Dublin Horse Show from August 15-19 (entry fee applies).
