Two Studios are available for sub-let at NAS (New Art Studio). Both are individual rooms and have natural light and 24 hour access, internet access and use of our computer lab and framing workshop. Studio 1 will be available for six months (€188 per month). Studio 2 will be available for 1 year €162 per month. Artspace Studios invite applications from visual artists for the period 2012-2013. Professional visual artists working in any medium are welcome to apply for single and shared subsidised studios in Galway city. All applications will be kept on file and looked at as studios become available during the period 2012-2013. Studio space is limited and competitive, submitting an application does not guarantee a studio. The renovations have continued with phase 2 of The Cube and there are more affordable, bright and secure artists studio spaces ready within the The Cube. Newly developed, purpose built, insulated individual and double spaces have been created in an old industrial building in the city centre, (high ceilings, concrete floors). Darkrooms are also available. Facilities include 24/7 access, monitored security, service lift (daytime), sheltered loading bay and friendly atmosphere. Various project spaces are available on site. Easy access by frequent buses (sheltered stops at entrance and directly opposite: only 5 stops from Trinity) or bike (bus lane access and bike storage). The entrance into the private courtyard is well lit and on the mail road. Local amenities include, launderette, supermarket, pizza take away, gym, pharmacy, post office, newsagents. Dublin City Council invites applications from professional visual artists interested in medium term lettings of day studios at The Red Stables, St. Anne’s Park, Dublin 3. The studios, of varying dimensions, have been adapted from the former, Tudor-style, red brick stable building, and are situated on three sides of an attractive courtyard set in 270 acres of parkland. Rents range from €45 to €70 per week and are inclusive of broadband, electricity, heating, rates, water and refuge charges. Seven studios will become available over the course of 2012 and maximum license of three years will apply. Artists are asked to submit the following: A covering letter outlining a description of art practice, proposed studio for use, and reasons why occupancy of a studio in The Red Stables is important to career development. A current CV. Documentation of work. Any special requirements, for example in terms of Access. Applicants should have a degree or diploma from a recognised third level art college and have participated in an exhibition/visual art event.
