New Studios Available at Steambox, Dublin 8

Steambox is very pleased to announce the development of another five studios at our Dublin 8 facility, just down the street from NCAD.

A variety of studio sizes will be available within the next couple weeks, suitable for individual artists or small creative teams. All studios have great natural light, 24-hr access, and access to kitchen, lounge, breakout areas and yard amenities. Also available is a studio with a private sink, suitable for process-intense practices like screen, litho or block printing, etc., or even a private darkroom.

Easy all-inclusive monthly pricing includes all utilities, wifi, waste and recycling, etc.

Steambox do have a waiting list but not every studio necessarily fits the needs of every artist so be sure to contact us for more information or to arrange a visit.

Call for Members | Wee Art Pub (Wub) Art Space at InterContinental, East Belfast

Wee Art Pub (Wub) is a new artist collective who have formed to curate and develop an arts and social practice in previously disused spaces. Our building (formally The Continental Pub, Parkview Bar and Hotel) has been gifted to us until the beginning of 2018 after which time it will be redeveloped in to residential apartments.

We are inviting artists who are currently working in socially engaged practices in keeping with our ethos to apply for an art space. For example- Arts in social context, art in the community, art exploring sustainbility, architecture play, performance, work involved with ideas of gentrification or the practice of art washing.

The wub is currently as it was when the previous occupants left and as such artists are expected to take the initiative to create their own space within the building which will be agreed with the rest of the collective. Artists are expected to take some responsibility for the day to day running of the building and will be required to pay a minimal fee of £10 per week cover running costs (electric etc).

We are open and flexible to all ideas.

Studio Memberships Available at A4 Sounds, Dublin 1

A4 Sounds is a interdisciplinary studio space and will suit artists of all sorts that enjoy working in a shared environment and need access to a wide range of facilities over the duration of their projects. Our members include fine artists, animators, writers, performers, makers, woodworkers and electronic engineers.

A4 Sounds are currently looking for fine artists working in a range of disciplines including sculpture, print and textiles.

As a socially engaged organisation A4 Sounds also have a keen interest in applications from artists working in the following disciplines: Social Practice, Social Justice, Social Intervention, Socially Engaged, Dialogical, Participatory, Critical Thinking and Research, Activist, Political, Relational, Community, Collaborative Art or New Genre Public Art.

Our memberships are modular starting at €60 per month, with the option of adding a storage locker (€10-€80 pm) or a personal workspace (€100-€130 pm).

Open Call for New Studio Members, Limerick Printmakers

Limerick Printmakers are currently welcoming applications for new members of its spacious printmaking studio.
LP is a printmaking studio and creative space that supports the goals of both individual printmakers and the wider printmaking community through the provision of a range of high quality printmaking facilities in a co-operative environment.

LP also delivers a series of annual events for members (e.g. subsidised members w/shops with visiting artists) along with programmes in children’s & adults education, regular exhibitions, annual bursary awards, & an extensive community engagement programme that utilises LP’s mobile printmaking facilities.

The studio hosts a range of facilities from relief, intaglio & planographic printmaking including linocuts & woodblocks, etching, aquatint, photo etching, stone & plate lithography, silkscreen, letterpress etc.
The studio also features a darkroom, Epson 7800 digital printer, paper guillotine, metal guillotine, members storage, canteen.

Blackwatch Studio has two loft style studios for rent. The studio is located in a quiet peaceful countryside setting 700 metres above sea level over looking the Blackstairs Mountains, whilst only 7km outside Kilkenny City. Each space has natural and florescent lighting, storage space, shared sink.

€40 per week, excluding utilities, which will be divided by all participants. There is also a shared kitchen/sitting area on the ground floor.

Creation Aerial are looking for another artist to share their cosy but spacious warehouse/ studio space in Cabra, Dublin 7.

One main room with potential for separate desk space and further access to roofed area within the space.

Parking and basic kitchen facilities available/ 24 hour access/ very private space with lots of room to move, make noise, play music and have alone time.

Looking for someone who wants more than a standard studio space and who can be flexible about sharing according to a roster or working within a shared space or some cross over, as required.

The studio has the large main room; a small kitchen which could also house a desk space; some storage.

Call for Applications | Artists’ Studios Drumshanbo, Co. Leitrim

Leitrim County Council Arts Office and Library Service is seeking interest from suitable artists (at least one of which will be a writer) who would like to take up residence in one of two studios at Market House, Drumshanbo, Co. Leitrim (Drumshanbo Library Building).
In lieu of rent, artists are instead asked to commit the equivalent of one hour per week conducting workshops or collaborative programmes with school, community or library groups developed by the artist in partnership with Leitrim County Council Arts Office and Leitrim Library Service.
Successful applicants must have completed a Keeping Safe child welfare training programme (or equivalent) before taking up the residency and Leitrim County Council will carry out a Garda vetting process before the residency commences.

Blackstack Studio | Call For New Members 2017

Blackstack Studio is a fine art print studio, established in 2011, located in the heart of medieval Kilkenny City. The studio was set to address the need for access to printmaking facilities in the South East region of Ireland. The studio supports artists, craftspeople and designers from Kilkenny and surrounding counties by providing access to silkscreen and intaglio printmaking facilities. We advocate and promote the use of environmentally friendly printmaking techniques and materials. We are among a growing number of Green studios worldwide that exclusively uses non-toxic methods.

Blackstack Studio provides both emerging and established artists access to printmaking facilities in order to develop their own practice, make and exhibit their work and to be part of a network of artists where skills and information can be exchanged. A limited number of memberships have become available and we welcome applications from any interested party who has a good working knowledge of print and an interest in holding a shared responsibility within a creative collective.

Studio Space Available at Ormond Studios, Dublin 1

Ormond Studios are currently inviting applications for studio membership. Ormond Studios supports the development of arts practice through affordable studio provision, a central location in close proximity to galleries and other cultural spaces, critical discourse and space for occasional events and exhibitions. Members have access to shared studio equipment and use of the Ormond project space. Personal spaces are roughly 2 x 2.25 metres, with 24 hour access. As a non‐hierarchical space run by and for its eight member artists, each member has an equal vote on governance and takes on a role with operational responsibility. Rent is €130 per month, including utilities. A space will become available on 01st June 2017.

Three bedroom house located just outside Boyle in Co. Roscommon is available to rent from July – August 2017. The house has 3 beds, a large office studio/living space along with a studio/workshop in the garden.

Venue Hire | Ground Floor Project at The Complex, Dublin

Ground Floor Project is a new contemporary gallery space in The Complex, Dublin City Centre.

The space is one of its kind in Dublin. It was originally the ground floor of Keelings Fruit Factory until March 2015. The space still holds a factory aesthetic which by design, allows artists to experiment when curating a show. The acoustics in the space provide an ideal setting for sound, performance and video installation.

Ground Floor Project is currently seeking interest from creative and professionally minded groups and individuals, based regionally and nationally. The project space is available from 25th September onwards.

There is a fee to hire the space, prices range from €250 – €600 per week.

Creative agency Lucky Lot, based in Chocolate Factory D1, has 2 hot desk spaces available.
Our roomy office is located on the 2nd floor of Chocolate Factory, a buzzing creative home for artists, makers and entrepreneur businesses. With two original factory windows in Lucky Lot’s studio, the office is filled with light and has an industrial-chic style. Central location and above the hidden gem Blas Cafe on the ground floor, serving amazing coffee, brunch and lunches.

Engage Art Studios is delighted to announce that they are expanding operations. Due to the overwhelming demand for studio space, Engage has decided to open additional space in a second location on Francis Street in Galway City Centre.

This will open for new members to work and produce art from May.

Engage Art Studios has occupied the top floor of the Old Pro-Cathedral building Since 2004. They are dedicated to providing work space for professional contemporary visual artists. Engage supports professional artists by providing them with clean, safe, secure studio space in which to create new works of art. Engage also offers exhibition opportunities, chances to meet with curators and professional development for our members.

Artists Summer Studios 2017, DIT Grangegorman, Dublin 7

Deadline: Friday 12 May 2017

The Dublin School of Creative Arts in DIT Grangegorman is inviting applications from artists for its Summer Studio programme. The successful applicants will be given a rent free studio space in our superb North House studio complex from June 20th to September 1st, 2017. Successful applicants will be expected to give 3 Master classes to our Fine Art undergraduate and postgraduate students over the 2017/2018 academic year. One space will be reserved for a Curator.

These projects are solely for the purpose of assisting artists/curators to consider or complete a body of work for exhibition.
Applications should contain:
1. A projected plan for the specified work period (July – August 2017)
2. A letter of confirmation/invitation from a venue for exhibition
3. The artist must have a developed professional practice

Temple Bar Gallery + Studios is accepting applications for Membership Studios.
Membership Studios are generally awarded to mid-career artists who have an established, professional art practice. Membership Studios give artists full membership status and voting rights at the AGM and are awarded for a period of three years with the possibility of a one year extension.

Fees for the studios are considerably subsidised and are inclusive of heating, electricity and WiFi.
