Engage Art Studios Seeking Members for New Studios, Galway   Recently updated !

Engage Art Studios is delighted to announce that they are expanding operations. Due to the overwhelming demand for studio space, Engage has decided to open additional space in a second location on Francis Street in Galway City Centre.

This will open for new members to work and produce art from May.

Engage Art Studios has occupied the top floor of the Old Pro-Cathedral building Since 2004. They are dedicated to providing work space for professional contemporary visual artists. Engage supports professional artists by providing them with clean, safe, secure studio space in which to create new works of art. Engage also offers exhibition opportunities, chances to meet with curators and professional development for our members.

Artists Summer Studios 2017, DIT Grangegorman, Dublin 7

The Dublin School of Creative Arts in DIT Grangegorman is inviting applications from artists for its Summer Studio programme. The successful applicants will be given a rent free studio space in our superb North House studio complex from June 20th to September 1st, 2017. Successful applicants will be expected to give 3 Master classes to our Fine Art undergraduate and postgraduate students over the 2017/2018 academic year. One space will be reserved for a Curator.

These projects are solely for the purpose of assisting artists/curators to consider or complete a body of work for exhibition.
Applications should contain:
1. A projected plan for the specified work period (July – August 2017)
2. A letter of confirmation/invitation from a venue for exhibition
3. The artist must have a developed professional practice
4. Curriculum Vitae
5. Portfolio of images (max 10) submitted as jpegs or a URL to artist website

Temple Bar Gallery + Studios is accepting applications for Membership Studios.
Membership Studios are generally awarded to mid-career artists who have an established, professional art practice. Membership Studios give artists full membership status and voting rights at the AGM and are awarded for a period of three years with the possibility of a one year extension.

Fees for the studios are considerably subsidised and are inclusive of heating, electricity and WiFi.

This is a great opportunity for an artist looking to rent a well-maintained studio in a central Belfast location. Studio 007 is a roomy, naturally lit space suiting a variety of uses. Platform is an artist-led studio and gallery group in Belfast’s city centre. Our role is to actively promote creation, presentation and access to contemporary art practice through our Exhibition, Education and Studio Programmes.

Sample-Studios: Call Out for New Members

Sample-Studios is a not-for-profit centre for contemporary arts in Cork City. We provide affordable workspaces for professional artists, along with a public programme of activities through our in-house performing arts residencies, events and visual arts programme, TACTIC. We currently have a number of workspaces and membership options available at our new venue in Churchfield, Cork. We are supported through the Arts Council Visual Artists Workspace Scheme and the Cork City Council Arts Grants Scheme.

Contracts for membership are flexible, with short-term and long-term options available.
All members are profiled on our website, and have the opportunity to submit work to the TACTIC annual members exhibition along with other in-house curated events.

Studio Space Available in Dundalk

Bridge Street Studios is a community of artists and craft people who share a large 250 year old Grainstore in Dundalk town centre.  The Studios where founded in 1996 when a group of ceramic artists needed a space to share a kiln – that 16cu’ electric kiln “Bertha” still stands on the 4th floor where she was hoisted at the birth of Bridge Street Studios.

The fantastic features of our studio setup include 24 hour access, broadband wifi, a classroom space and a gallery showroom area The Gateway Gallery. The studio membership also gives you access to using the studio equipment, 2 electric kilns, slab roller, photography equipment, computer and colour printer. In our (nearly!) 20 year history we have developed a loyal audience in Dundalk and we contact them by social media, email and post about regular group exhibitions and events.

Call for applicants | Open Plan Studio-share Opportunity at the Back Loft, Dublin 8

For the first time since its inception, the Back Loft which is the multipurpose space of La Catedral Studios, will play host to a temporary open plan art shared space, from May to September 2017.
This unique opportunity will be be offered on a selection basis, to artists and art collectives/groups who intend to research/work/create in the context of an open plan space and within a sociable environment. This set up would be ideal for those looking to experiment with a new media or concept, for new graduates to experience a transition framework between the college set up and a professional studio, art students looking for a summer working space and for self-taught individuals and young emerging artists in need of a short-term space for practicing.

Rental agreements will be discussed on application. A rental fee applies and will be shared among the selected artists or a fixed fee will be applied for a large collective/group.
This new initiative of temporary shared space for emerging artists at the back loft aims to expand and complement the existing set up of the long-term, professional private studios set up of La Catedral Studios, adjacent to the Back Loft.

Open Call for Exhibition Proposals | Platform Arts, Belfast

Application deadline: Friday 31 March, 6pm

Platform Arts is accepting proposals from artists and curators, working in any media or discipline to be included in its 2017/2018 exhibition and events programme. Prior experience is not a condition of acceptance. Please refer to the guidelines before completing your proposal.

Platform has limited financial resources and is unable to provide financial support to artists to realise an exhibition this includes costs of creating artwork, funding travel / transportation, installation, insurance on individual works etc. Applicants should have a good idea of how they intend to fund their show. Platform can provide a letter of support and advice in applying for funding both in Northern Ireland and internationally. Artists must arrange their own technical support and should make allowances for costs associated with this in their exhibition budget.

The A4 Sounds Gallery is a multipurpose space available to hire for exhibitions, workshops, seminars, film screenings, theatre performances, rehearsals, film shoots and more. There is also a large outdoor space which can be utilised for events with mezzaine area, gazebo and tables and chairs.

If needed gallery technicians, sound engineers, carpenters and photography or video documentors can be hired. We also have a range of equipment including projector and PA System for an additional fee.
