The renovations have continued with phase 2 of The Cube and there are more affordable, bright and secure artists studio spaces ready within the The Cube. Newly developed, purpose built, insulated individual and double spaces have been created in an old industrial building in the city centre, (high ceilings, concrete floors). The Red Stables : Call for Day Studio Applications 2012

Dublin City Council invites applications from professional visual artists interested in medium term lettings of day studios at The Red Stables, St. Anne’s Park, Dublin 3. The studios, of varying dimensions, have been adapted from the former, Tudor-style, red brick stable building, and are situated on three sides of an attractive courtyard set in 270 acres of parkland. Rents range from €45 to €70 per week and are inclusive of broadband, electricity, heating, rates, water and refuge charges. Seven studios will become available over the course of 2012 and maximum license of three years will apply. Cregg Castle Arts Venue, Corrandulla, Co Galway.
Artists Residence, Working Studios, Gallery, Workshops and Events.

This is a call for artists who are interested in working as a member of a team to transform this beautiful 17th century Castle into an arts venue.

Each Artist will have a bedroom, en-suite, and an outhouse studio space. Common areas include the kitchen, living rooms, and studio rooms. The venue also includes a large Gallery and workshop space. The rent agreement includes studio, utilities, TV/internet, and exhibition space at a rate of E110 plus one days work weekly for the project. There are nine residential places available from May for a period of one year. Artists can request the application form from alan.murrayartist@gmail.com.

Notice to create a Register of Interest of property owners/ property users in temporary creative, cultural and craft uses. In response to a demand for temporary use of space in the city, Dublin City Council has been brokering links between owners of vacant property and individuals/organisations who require space for creative, cultural, and craft uses in the short term. Temporary use of vacant space offers a range of benefits to both property owners and space users: • Increases footfall, including visitors and tourists, and thereby rejuvenating an area. • Potentially reduces incidences of vandalism, squatting and other illegal behaviours. • Animates “To Let” units currently vacant and thereby increases the unit’s potential to prospective tenants. • Facilitates cultural activity in the city.

Register Your Interest and Property: If you are a property owner and are interested in making vacant space available for temporary creative, cultural and craft uses please contact us. E-mail your contact details, the property address and preferably a photo of the property, to the Economic Development Unit at edu@dublincity.ie. We will then follow up with you directly. ||
