21 April – 26 May | North Street, Skibbereen, Co Cork | 'Difference Engine' is an evolving touring exhibition by artists Mark Cullen, Wendy Judge, Gillian Lawler and Jessica Foley, featuring Gordon Cheung and, at WCAC, Paul Green. Difference Engine is based upon a kind of ‘jamming’, between the artists. At each manifestation, the artists, through their works, must rearticulate themselves or risk stasis. Difference Engine is a mutable and shifting entity of moving and fluctuating parts; the artists and their works will riff off each other and the space of exhibition, evolving a language of contingency, yet maintaining a fidelity to the individual perspectives and expressions of each artist | www.westcorkartscentre.com [1]

29 March - 26 April 2012 | Opening Thursday 29th March at 7pm | 2020 Art Gallery, Cork presents the first solo show by artist Jack Hickey, one of the most exciting rising stars in the art world today. 'Another Tuesday' is a new body of work that is a deeper exploration of these themes and issues which he first addressed in his degree show in June 2011. The canvases display a high level of skill and technique, coupled with a central concept and range of ideas that allows for interpretation and interaction to be central to the viewer's experience. In these intensely atmospheric works the artist invites the public to experience and extrapolate their own meaning from his world of precise painting coupled with ambiguous narrative structure | www.2020artgallery.com/exhibitions__events/another_tuesday [1]
