Bea Daly is a Dublin-based visual artist. Recently she has completed a residency in Inis Oirr, Aran Islands. Some of the work shown in Green Room were created during her residence. Some are from a longer process of work, which was originally inspired by Wiliam Hope Hodgson book – The House at the Borderland.
This exhibition in Belfast is the artists’ first public view of the long research topic. Inis Oirr residency was “a house“ at the edge of the Atlantic –borderland in the literal sense.
This instalment explores figurative and non-figurative co-existence in trying to capture the feeling of immediacy. The borderland in a more symbolic way, shows the concern for the evolving views and values of our nature co-dependencies.
