It would be hard not to have noticed the regeneration of one of Cork’s most eye catching buildings at the intersection of Grand Parade and South Mall. This gleaming and elegant building is now home to an exciting new Department dedicated to advancing the transformative power of the Arts.
While a new configuration, the Department is rooted in the arts’ history of the Crawford College of Art and Design and the innovation of CIT. It offers the only generic professional training in Art Therapy in the Republic, as well as a Professional Master of Education for Post Primary teachers specialising in Art and Design (run jointly with UCC). Other courses include certificates in Arts in Group Facilitation and Creativity and Change, a range of Art Therapy short courses and a portfolio course.
