Unseen by my Open Eyes | Kevin Gaffney at Block 336, London

24 November to 22 December

Block 336 will present Unseen By My Open Eyes, the first solo exhibition of Irish artist Kevin Gaffney’s work in the UK, curated by Kathleen Soriano. A natural storyteller with a surrealistic bent, Gaffney considers issues of sexual and national identities through 4 seductive films that explore the construction, projection and manipulation of subjectivity. There will be an in-conversation between the artist and curator on 1st December at 8pm.

Kathleen Soriano is an independent curator and Chair of the Liverpool Biennial, formerly Director of Exhibitions at the Royal Academy of Arts, and Director of Compton Verney Art Gallery. In addition to Arts Council England support, this exhibition is also supported by The Elephant Trust, The Arts Council of Ireland, Culture Ireland, Guinness and Sky Arts.
