Helen Hiney at Arklow Visual Arts Gallery, Co. Wicklow

15 August to 15 September 2017

Hiney took up painting after being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1989. She has had no formal art training. Initially she worked with watercolours and now paints with oils.
Hiney’s work captures the Irish landscape with a fresh and vivid eye. There is a sense both of vitality and tranquility in these works, reflecting the tones and shades of the landscapes she paints.
Hiney has exhibited across Ireland, and her work is in private collections world wide.
