When you have the product right, how do you let people know about it? Learn the basics in visual arts communications and how you as an artist can promote your own work.
This 1 day workshop teaches you easy to follow basics in PR and Digital Marketing. Topics covered include, how to write and where to send a press release, how to set up a website without knowing anything about websites, where to be active on social media, how to take advantage of email newsletters. You will leave with a clear overview on pr and digital marketing that you put into action yourself.
Emma Dwyer will draw on her experience of working in communications in various arts organisations, including her most recent role as Communications Manager for EVA International.
Emma Dwyer has experience in various areas of the arts including architecture, theatre, publishing and visual art. Her expertise is in arts communications. She has held roles in Dublin Contemporary 2011, mother’s tankstation, Irish Architecture Foundation and Mermaid County Wicklow Arts Centre and is currently working as Communications Manager with EVA International. Alongside a healthy obsession with the internet, Emma loves publishing and has in the past edited various art publications including Oh, Francis, in circulation from 2009 to 2012 and worked as the editor of Dublin 4 local newspaper, NewsFour. Emma holds a degree in English, Media and Cultural Studies from Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology and a masters in Art in the Contemporary World from National College of Art and Design, Dublin.
