VAI Launches Experiment Award

Experiment is a programme that provides an alternative form of residency.

The purpose of the residency is to provide artists with funding to experiment. In keeping with our advocacy on supporting artists at all stages of their career, the residency will provide funding of 5000 Euro for an artist to undertake research which is designed to bring their practice to a new level.

The award is open to all VAI individual members.

The application process requires:

• 1 X Proposal which clearly states the purpose of the research, the impact that the work will have on the individual/group practice, and a timeline (3000 character limit – equates to approximately one A4 page);
• 1 X Professional Resume for the applicant(s);
• Supporting documentation regarding the area of research and/or individuals/institutions that will be engaged with;
• Examples of work.
