Participate in Visual Artists Survey on Workspaces 2025
The Arts Council has commissioned this research survey to measure the provision, capacity as well as the geographic distribution of workspaces. The research aims to understand the demand for specialist workspace and production facilities, and to help the Arts Council map key workspace needs of contemporary visual artists working across the country.
The Arts Council has commissioned Visual Artists Ireland to deliver the survey and engage directly with visual artists to understand your current workspace provision. This survey is an opportunity for you to share your experiences and perspectives on studio and workspace infrastructure and the current working conditions for visual artists.
Who should complete the survey?
We are keen to hear from ALL visual artists working from a rented studio or hot desk, from home, or those who might be looking for a workspace. We are also interested to hear from artists who do not need a structured workspace. To construct a full picture of artists’ workspaces currently across the country, we ask that you fill out this survey to represent your current and future needs best.

How long will it take? The survey will take 15-20 minutes to complete.
