Workshop | Relief Printing with Caroline Byrne at Black Church Print Studio

This course will demonstrate the techniques of relief printmaking using the lino block. Transferring the image to the block, use of tools, inking, and printing using the press, and by hand, will be covered. Individual tuition will follow as students go on to produce their own plates. Blind Embossing, a technique which lends itself to the relief plate will also be discussed and students will be encouraged to incorporate this into their work. Note: Creating a print using hand tools makes this suitable to pursue at home.
