Description

Professional artists with an established participatory arts and health practice are invited to apply for the artsandhealth.ie Artist Reflective Bursary 2026.

This bursary is designed to provide artists with the time and headspace to reflect on and interrogate their participatory practice in health and social care contexts. The bursary is open to individual artists working in any art form in the Republic of Ireland.

The Artist Reflective Bursary is funded by the Arts Council and the HSE.

Specific Criteria

Professional artists with an established participatory arts and health practice are eligible for this bursary. This is defined as an artist who has developed an arts and health practice over a number of years, working in collaborative / socially engaged / participatory contexts with healthcare communities (this can include health service users, healthcare staff, families and local communities amongst others).

Learning that arises from the bursary will be shared with the wider arts and health community via artsandhealth.ie. How this learning is presented is at the discretion of the bursary awardee.
