Description

Day 1- learn 4-5 crewel embroidery stitches-stem, long and short, couching, French and bullion knots during the morning. Afternoon session will be exploring stitch direction, adding shades and different colours in the needle and the understanding of the fall of light while creating effects.

Day2 – Explore the different capacities of each stitch, how they can create texture and dimensionality- the language of stitch. Experiment with a variety of threads and materials. Design and make your own piece.

All materials provided.

10.30 am -4.30 pm

Coffee, tea, cake and lunch included

€100 per day.
