In this workshop, participants are introduced to spit bite aquatint techniques as a way of creating expressive tonal effects in intaglio printmaking. The process involves applying ferric chloride with a brush directly onto a copper plate to build painterly marks and soft gradients. This workshop focuses on controlled yet experimental approaches to tone, surface, and image development. Demonstrations guide each stage of application, biting, and printing.
