Our Audience

Our Primary audience is made up of professional visual artists who live and work on the island of Ireland. We work with these artists both as individuals and through artists groups and networks.

  • Visual Artists: Serving Visual Artists is the reason for our existence;
  • Artists Groups: We support networks and groups that work with the individual visual artist in mind;
  • Partners: We work through partnerships, sharing time and resources, to bring our services to a wide audience.

Due to the economic recession, and the level of emigration experienced in the visual arts sector, we have extended our concerns to Irish visual artists who live outside of Ireland. This specific focus group are supported through our international network of sister organisations.

Our Secondary audience is made up of Cultural Organisations, Policy Makers, and Researchers.

  • Cultural Organisations: We collaborate with cultural organisations to support change where needed;
  • Policy Makers: We work with Policy Makers to make the world a better place for visual artists;
  • Researchers: We freely offer access to our primary research and archives.

Although not a target audience, we also make our information available with free access for the general public.

In keeping with our internal policies concerning Equality, we provide our services without discrimination. This includes, but not exclusive to:

  1. Gender Identity
  2. Civil status: single, married, divorced, etc.
  3. Family status: if you’re the parent or person responsible for a child over 18, or if you’re the main carer or parent of a person with a disability
