Join this exciting, interactive, free, two day workshop in Highlanes Gallery, Drogheda.
In 2020 Science Gallery Dublin will be continuing their first national tour by bringing their PLASTIC exhibition to Highlanes Gallery in Drogheda this May. They have also commissioned artists from A Giant Leap to run a workshop with the local community and co-create a piece that will be displayed in the exhibition.
A Giant Leap is a speculative, playful exploration of society to imagine more sustainable futures for all. By asking What if…? we can begin to reimagine our relationship with plastics.
Together we will imagine and create a near future Drogheda. Through, speculation, roleplay, citizen assemblies and making we will challenge our ideals and push the boundaries of our collective imagination.
In this future Drogheda, anything is possible!
This event will take place on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th from 10AM to 4PM each day. Participants are asked to attend both days to co-create the piece for the PLASTIC exhibition which will be in the Highlanes Gallery from May 1st. This workshop is suitable for people aged 16 and over.
