Gaby Smyth is set to host A Walk through Online Filling of Income Tax for Self Employed Artists in Abbey Road Studios, Athlone on Wednesday 4th of December from 1:30 – 4:30 pm
Gaby Smyth studied at UCD, University of Limerick, the Leinster School of Music (LLSM), and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. He has been in financial and taxation consultancy for over twenty five years, specialising in the literary, music, film and theatre arts – representing and advising many of the major Irish and international practitioners in these areas. He has also been involved in the leadership and governance of many art organisations in Ireland, including Temple Bar Gallery & Studios, Corn Exchange Theatre Company, TEAM Educational Theatre Company, the Audi Dublin International Film Festival and Opera Theatre Company, and the Irish National Opera. Additionally, he was non-executive chairman of Boulder Media Ltd., a major Irish animation company, and Screen Producers Ireland, the umbrella organisation for the film, animation and TV industry in the state. Gaby will be offering a walk-through the online filing of income tax for self-employed artists, with focus on expenditure recording methods and capital allowances, as well as other focused financial advice relating to their practice.
