This course is suitable for complete beginners and those looking to build confidence in stepping out of their comfort zone and dive into intuitive painting to find their unique and authentic visual language.

What to expect

Step into a world of colour and expression in this abstract art class guided by Wicklow artist Iseult McCormack.

This is more than just a class; it’s a journey into self-expression. Through engaging exercises and hands-on guidance, Iseult will help you break free from creative blocks, experiment with new techniques, and develop your own artistic voice. Iseult creates a safe and supportive space where you can take creative risks, explore personal projects, and grow as an artist.

Throughout the course you will explore the fundamentals of abstract art from colour to composition and value but with an emphasis on working with emotion and feelings. Students are invited to bring a variety of materials to work with, from inks to acrylics and charcoal also including mixed media to create texture and collage.
