Board Vacancy | Call for applicants to CCA Board of Directors (Unpaid)
Board membership requires a commitment to monthly board meetings, participation in sub-committees when necessary and occasional representation on behalf of the gallery, if required. Attendance at gallery events is encouraged. CCA board membership is both challenging and rewarding. Board members contribute their own specialist skills to ensure good governance, strategic development and the financial sustainability of CCA. They also have the opportunity to gain new skills and enjoy the privilege of being part of an exciting, innovative contemporary art gallery in the process.
CCA has a strong international profile and a mission to support emerging artists from our region. In 2021, the gallery was shortlisted for Art Fund’s Museum of the Year prize; the largest prize of its kind in the world. Part of our mission is to engage with local and international audiences so they can experience inspirational contemporary art events. CCA operates through five programme streams: research and production, exhibition-making, Public Programmes, publishing, and residencies.
CCA is inviting candidates with an interest in contemporary art practice. The Board is made up of artists, arts professionals and those with expertise in business, law, accountancy, financial management, events management, and fundraising. Board members require good interpersonal and communication skills to assist in the smooth running of the board and to act as advocates for CCA.
CCA are currently seeking new Board members with skills in business, capital development, property law, fundraising, education, accountancy and financial management to complement the existing skills set of the current Board members. CCA is a not-for-profit organisation and the role of Director on the Board is voluntary.
Expressions of interest outlining relevant interests, professional affiliations, other Board memberships and skills should be sent to Jaci Wilde, Chair of the Board, together with a current CV and Equal Opportunities Monitoring Form to info@ccadld.org.
