Hector Canonge
ASSEMBLAGE
June 20 to July 10th, 2022
Germany, Italy, Ireland, and Iceland
Hector Canonge, through the International Network of Performance Art, INPA, invites performance artists living and working in Europe to join him as he makes several stops during his journey through the cities of Kassel, Berlin, Venice, Dublin (July 6 to 8), and Reykjavík.
From June 20th to July 10th, Canonge will be presenting ASSEMBLAGE, his open for collaboration performance art project in public spaces as an allegorical celebration of human resilience in the spirit of friendship, togetherness and re-union. ASSEMBLAGE is a coming together, a welcoming back, and an open gathering after a long period of isolation and confinement. The project aims to gain insights about the process of encountering other bodies, creating bonds that get people closer, and re-discovering our need for direct social and communal interactions.
ASSEMBLAGE is not about the retribution for money, the search for accommodations, or the exchange of services, the main precept of the project is based on human connection through performative live actions. If you are a performance artist living in any of these cities: Kassel, Berlin, Venice, Dublin, and Reykjavík, and would like to meet to activate the public sphere in a collaborative or exploratory fashion, join the ASSEMBLAGE project by filling this form: https://forms.gle/FTJBcYxBdjfc2f4f6
