Artist and Curator Café – Amharclann Chois Fharraige

Ealaín na Gaeltachta and Visual Artists Ireland are pleased to announce an open call for artists to participate in the Artist Practice Showcase. This showcase is a core component of our upcoming Artist and Curator Café taking place on Saturday 27 June.

Event Synopsis

The Artist and Curator Café celebrates a ten-year partnership between Ealaín na Gaeltachta and VAI, offering a stimulating and immersive day of dialogue on contemporary art practice. Designed for both early-career and established practitioners, the day features:

  •  Keynote Presentation: An address by the esteemed curator and art historian, Catherine Marshall.
  •  Curator Presentations: Professional insights from guest curators Mary Conlon, Sara Muthi, Aoife Banks, and Valeria Ceregini on exhibition development and relationship building.
  •  Networking: A relaxed, café-style environment to foster new collaborations and resource sharing.
  •  Hospitality: A light lunch is included in the €10 registration fee.
