From Tuesday 21 July, the main IMMA building opens with the highly anticipated exhibition A Consummate Joy by Bharti Kher. While the museum is open they are continuing to offer an online programme for you to engage with at home. To celebrate the opening of A Consummate Joy join artist Bharti Kher and IMMA curator Rachel Thomas for an Instagram Live conversation on Tuesday 21st at 6pm.
They are launching the third film work to be screened as part of IMMA Screen. Kevin Gaffney’s Everything Disappears (2014). A live-streamed conversation between Kevin Gaffney and curator, writer and organiser Sara Greavu will take place on Thursday 23 July at 6.30pm.
The IMMA International Summer School will take place online, via zoom, from 3 to 28 August. Focusing on the theme of ‘statecraft’ and the role of art and artists in relation to the state, the Summer School will run a public programme which is free and open to all.
