FSAS is recruiting a Building, Infrastructure and Sculpture Manager (permanent part-time, 28 hours / week).
The role of Building, Infrastructure and Sculpture Manager is an integral part of the Fire Station Artists’ Studios team. It involves maintenance of sculpture workshop within FSAS and provision of technical support to artists, as well as the general maintenance of the buildings and infrastructure including sculpture workshop, residential studios, common areas and yard. Communication is an essential part of this position, requiring regular contact with staff, resident artists, workshop hires, contractors and general enquiries.
FSAS is one of the key resource organisations funded by the Arts Council of Ireland, located in a landmark Dublin City Council inner city building. Fire Station Artists’ Studio’s mission is to enable contemporary visual artists with recognised potential to sustain a practice of quality and integrity.
The Building, Infrastructure and Sculpture Manager is a key member of the small team that work with artists who live and who work in this historic building.
Strong building or facilities management experience is essential, as well as strong sculpture/fabrication skills (See our website for full list of equipment available at FSAS). Experience working with artists is desirable. This is a management position and ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a small team is essential.
