Creative Lives is a non-profit organisation that champions community and volunteer-led creative activity. We work to improve opportunities for everyone to be creative and, in particular, celebrate and promote people expressing themselves creatively with others, recognising the benefits this brings to both individuals and communities.
Creative Lives is delighted to be working on some ambitious and exciting events in the coming months. In partnership with Creative Ireland and Age Friendly Ireland we have been tasked with delivering outdoor creative events aimed at older people. This work will take place through the summer in partnership with five county councils: Louth, Meath, Fingal, South Dublin and Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown. In October, we will host the annual conference of Amateo, Europe’s network for active participation in culture, in Ireland for the first time.
We are now in a position to recruit a suitably experienced Events Coordinator on a freelance basis to work with us to manage the logistics of producing these events. Working closely with our Ireland Director, our colleagues in councils, as well as partners around Ireland and Europe, they will develop our plans for these events, manage on-site logistics, suppliers and administration. They will be the key contact for artists, speakers, suppliers and guests.
The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of events management and production work within Ireland, including cultural events, conferences and outdoor events. They will be a creative, collaborative and passionate individual who is driven to ensure safe, enjoyable and high quality experiences for participants and is conscious of accessibility and inclusivity.
To apply for this role, please send a CV and a short record of previous relevant events management work to lindsey@creative-lives.org by 5pm, Friday 10 June 2022.
After initial assessment, there may be a shortlisting process and candidates may be invited to a short interview via Zoom to discuss their suitability.
Creative Lives is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from people of all backgrounds and abilities in line with our policies.
