Front of House & Box Office Manager

Location: The Complex, 21-25 Arran St E, Smithfield, Dublin 7, D07 YY97

Salary: €35,000

Hours: Full-time position. 2-year contract, 40 hours per week. Flexible working hours. Weekend and late-night availability is essential.

Are you ready to play a key part in Dublin’s vibrant multidisciplinary centre for arts in the heart of Dublin? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Front of House & Box Office Manager to join the team.

As part of The Complex, you’ll contribute to a thriving hub that produces over 200 events annually, spanning multidisciplinary arts embracing visual arts, theatre, opera, live music, dance, film and late-night programming. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic and creative environment while ensuring operational excellence.

Role and responsibilities

  1. The Front of House and Box Office Manager is responsible to the General Manager

  2. Be the face of The Complex to the public

  3. Manage all front-of-house activities, interfacing with the public, box office and ticketing

  4. Be responsible for the opening and closing of events

  5. Manage the security of the building

  6. Manage the safety of the public

  7. Oversee bar and security staff

  8. Supervise, roster and co-ordinate the front of house team, ensuring that standards and best practice are implemented.

  9. Complete event/show reports

  10. Manage monthly communications with Gardai and Studio Artists regarding the programme

  11. Ensure obligations to residents are met – noise control, signage, litter, crowd dispersion.

  12. Oversee event maintenance and cleaning to meet professional standards of venue accessibility and presentation
