Description

The 145th RUA Annual Exhibition is Northern Ireland’s longest-established and most prestigious open exhibition of contemporary visual art. Open to all artists working across painting, drawing, print, sculpture, photography, and craft, the RUA Annual offers a carefully curated and highly competitive snapshot of current practice, bringing together emerging voices and established artists in a single, landmark exhibition.

Artist Payment Policy
Artist Payment Policy The Royal Ulster Academy is committed to supporting artists fairly and transparently. For works sold through the exhibition, the RUA retains 25% commission plus VAT on that commission, with the remaining balance paid directly to the artist following completion of the sale. Alongside the Annual Exhibition, the RUA runs an education programme of talks, tours and workshops. Artists engaged to deliver this programme are paid professional fees which are set above the Arts Council of Northern Ireland recommended rates, reflecting the value we place on artists’ time, expertise and contribution. This policy reflects the RUA’s commitment to maintaining an artist-centred exhibition model while supporting education, access and public engagement.
