Description
Newry, Mourne and Down District Council are pleased to announce that applications are now open to residents of the District for the Artist-in-Residence Programme, based at Down Arts Centre.This initiative is focused on strengthening the arts in our Council and providing our citizens with access to a high level of visual, contemporary arts experiences.We’re looking to support visual artists in their careers and creating new work celebrating our district’s culture and engaging with our community. Artist Payment Policy
The payment of £15,000 will be provided to include all costs for a 6 month residency at Down Arts Centre.
Visual artists interested in the opportunity are invited to submit an expression of interest, including details of their artistic practice, relevant experience and proposed approach to the residency.
