Open Call | Artist to Deliver Sculpture Workshops in a Secondary School, Dublin

Our Lady of Mercy College (Beaumont) are participating in the Creative Schools Initiative and have been exploring ways to bring the Arts to all students in a collaborative way. They have discussed the needs of the students with them directly and through consensus. They have expressed the desire to explore making art through the medium of sculpture. So we would like to provide our students with the opportunity to work with professional artists, to create in the field of sculpture and to have an exhibition of the work around the school.

The project will consist of 8 x two hour workshops with 4 groups of 25 students. We would hope that the students working in small groups will produce free standing or hanging sculptures using light materials such as bamboo, tissue, paper and recyclable materials in general. The theme can  be defined by the artist or in consultation with the students.

Artist Fee: 2000 euro

Dates: 4 th of April-8 th April 2022 and 25 th –29 th of April 2022
