Clare Arts Office invites applications from multidisciplinary artists to join its Artists in Schools panel 2020-2023
The Artists in Schools Programme run by Clare Arts Office is designed to create opportunities for artists and schools to work together over a specific duration of time. They favour projects that are innovative, unique and that foster creativity, skills development and an introduction to the language used in art making.
They also encourage projects that introduce children to experience the cross disciplinary nature of the arts, projects which connect ideas and art making to other subjects e.g. history, science, the environment, local, national and global cultures and traditions. Artists working across all disciplines are invited to apply.
Participating Artists are required to undergo Child Protection Training and Garda Vetting. Participating artists are also required to attend seminars and skills development workshops hosted by the arts office in the area of arts & education and to attend evaluation meetings.
Clare Arts Office are specifically seeking professional artists who have proven experience of working collaboratively and who are excited about working across artistic disciplines.
Applicants must have experience of working with children and young people and an interest in the field of arts and education. They welcome applications from artists who have undertaken a TAP, Teachers/Artists Partnership Course.
This opportunity is primarily for artists residing and working in Clare but artists from neighbouring counties will also be considered if they offer an additional skill set to the panel.
Please contact Ceara Conway, Artists in Schools Coordinator at email@example.com for a registration form and all inquiries.
Please note that the inclusion on the artists panel is not a guarantee of work through the Artist in Schools scheme. For details on how the scheme works visit http://www.clarelibrary.ie/eolas/cominfo/arts/artists_in_schools/artists_schools_scheme_1819.htm
The deadline for applications is the 31st March,2020.
