Uillinn: West Cork Arts Centre offers Artist in Residence studio opportunities to practicing artists. Artists are invited to apply for an opportunity to research and develop their practices and to engage in dialogue with Uillinn, other organisations in Cork, the local community and general public.
This is a non-accommodation residency. Currently West Cork Arts Centre does not offer a stipend for the duration of a residency other than for Partnership Residencies, one of which Cork County Council Residency 2022 which is also open for submission and can be seen on the link. Uillinn recommend that artists apply to their own Arts Councils, Local Authorities etc to source funding for accommodation, travel and expenses. Uillinn provides a vibrant creative hub and an extensive programme of exhibitions and events. There is a strong emphasis on making connections and networking, even in these most challenging times we are seeking safe and creative ways to remain connected.
Priority is given to:
- to artists who show a strong commitment to public and audiences, with a Covid-19 considered approach
- Proposals that show relevance to our venue location and facilities
- While Covid-19 restrictions are in place, priority will also be given to artists residing, or with residence in the County.
Uillinn have some limited availability in the period January to August 2022 with more availability in the period September to December 2022 and will consider submissions into the first quarter of 2023.
