Leitrim County Council Creative Ireland Programme

Creative Communities Open Call for Applications

Closing Date: 29th March 2026

Are you part of a community group in Leitrim that want to work with an artist to develop a meaningful creative project? Or are you an artist interested in working closely with a community to spark imagination and create something truly collaborative? If so, this opportunity may be the perfect fit.

Click here for more information and to apply

Specific Criteria

Who Can Apply?

Any community group or a venue or organisation working with a group can apply to develop a project. Projects must be led or facilitated by professional practitioners working in any creative or cultural field, including visual or performing arts, literature, cultural heritage, or other creative practices. A group may approach an artist to explore an idea, or an artist may approach a group; either way, the project must be a genuine collaboration. In some cases, such as when an arts organisation or agency is involved, it may be more appropriate for that organisation to submit the application.

We particularly welcome applications involving groups that have had limited or no previous engagement in creative projects. Where possible, we will offer guidance and support to help ensure these collaborations are positive, inclusive, and rewarding for everyone involved.
