The Civic is holding an Open Call for proposals from artists and play practitioners who work with children at the centre of their practice. They want you to create an interactive Creative Play Station in The Civic Gallery space. This commission will be presented during the 2020 Ready, Steady SHOW! Festival in June 2020. Following this they are keen to tour the installation to venues within the South Dublin region and beyond.
The installation should be inspired by the ideas of local children and explore the themes of the natural world and the environment. We are particularly keen to hear from artists and play practitioners who work and engage with the medium of sound design but artists and play practitioners from any background are welcome to apply including dance, music, circus, installation, theatre, live art, moving image, sound design and more. Cross-disciplinary
Proposals from independent artists, collectives or companies are also really welcome.

They have even included a section where you can simply have a chat about your ideas on video. It doesn’t have to be tech heavy, just turn on the video function on your phone and email it through. They want to hear your enthusiasm for the project, not rate your tech skills.

the 3 questions listed at the bottom of this document. Please include of a recent copy of your CV and images / details of recent 2 relevant works / projects and submission of a 3-5min video of you chatting about what themes you want to explore and why you want to be part of Ready Steady SHOW! this year.
