Open Call | Emerging Artist Research and Development Bursary from Arts + Health
Are you an artist with an emerging arts and health practice? Would you like an opportunity to research your ideas, test creative approaches with a health or social care service, or to avail of mentorship from an established artist?
This bursary is funded by the Arts Council and the HSE.
This bursary is designed to support artists at an early stage of establishing a participatory arts practice in health and social care contexts to engage in a period of research and development.
The bursary can be used in one or more of the following ways:
– Researching a specific health context, area of practice or new idea for a future project (this can include attendance at professional training opportunities)
– Working with a mentor with a track record in the field of arts and health to develop your practice or ideas
– Developing an idea in collaboration with a potential project partner or partners
– Trialling creative approaches with a health or social care service (for example, through creative consultations or workshops with staff and / or service users)
– Shadowing a professional artist in a health or social care service.
Learning that arises from the bursary will be shared with the wider arts and health community via artsandhealth.ie. How this learning is presented is at the discretion of the bursary awardee.
