Digital Arts Studios was established in 2003 and has hosted some 180 artists-in-residence working with digital media. DAS is now accepting applications for the next Home Residency, which is open to artists based in the UK and Ireland. This four-month residency will run from February to May 2020, inclusive.
The residencies offer the selected artists time to work on a specific project of their choice, develop their skills and artistic practice. We welcome proposals from artists from any background who engage with digital technologies to push the boundaries of their own practice and indeed, to a certain extent, the cultural world around us.
The Home Residency fee of £60 per month entitles you to a personal iMac workstation programmed with relevant software. You will have 24-hour access to the shared studios, access to a range of equipment (DSLRs, video & sound recording equipment), and technical support and advice from staff during office hours.
Please note: new studios are based on the second floor of the Cathedral Buildings in central Belfast, which unfortunately has no lift access.
The deadline for applications is 05/01/20.
Principal funder: Arts Council of Northern Ireland.
