CULTURE NIGHT KILDARE COMMISSION
This year, Kildare Arts Service will commission a number of public-facing projects, across art forms to coincide with the county’s Culture Night celebrations. Idea submissions are welcome from individuals and/or groups of artists. Commissions will range from €1,000 – €3,000.
We are particularly interested in projects that reflect the cultural richness of Kildare and the diversity of all communities living in the county, initiatives that specifically engage the 18-35 demographic, and projects that assist in the development of a vibrant late-night economy.
Programming Considerations
We are committed to projects that consider equality, inclusion, accessibility and diversity, that strive to respect, support and ensure the inclusion of all voices and cultures that make up Ireland today. In 2019, the Arts Council published their Equality, Human Rights and Diversity (EHRD) Policy and Strategy which you can see here.
We are committed to projects that Pay the Artist, in line with the Arts Council’s national policy, building our commitment to create a change and improvement in this area.
We are particularly keen to grow audiences for arts and culture in the county and encourage you to consider how you target and engage with new/different audiences while planning your event.
