Applications are now open for the New Voices Short Film Fund 2026, brought to you by Screen Wexford in partnership with Wexford County Council.

This award aims to provide funding and support to emerging film makers based in the County Wexford region. We are looking for unique and original ideas from talented new filmmakers with authentic voices telling diverse stories reflecting Wexford.

Screen Wexford are seeking entries for a wide variety of films, including drama, animation, experimental art films or documentaries.

The total fund of €20,000 will be available through the scheme to support two short films in 2026. Each successful film will be awarded €10,000 (€7,000 cash and €3,000 worth of film equipment hire). Funding will be awarded to successful Creative Teams on the announcement of successful applications by the beginning of December 2025.

Applications open: Monday, 30th June 2025
