Per Cent for Art Commission | Scoil Choilmcille National School, Letterkenny
The Board of Management of Scoil Choilmcille National School, Letterkenny, County Donegal, wish to commission a Public Art Work which will reflect the collaborative spirit of the school and the strong emphasis on team work for both pupils and staff members.
The board of Management of Scoil Cholmcille (‘The Commissioners’), wish to commission a public artwork to reflect the collaborative spirit of our school and the strong emphasis on team work for both pupils and staff members. We envision an image which is perhaps drawn from nature, reflecting our beautiful elevated location in a mature and leafy part of Letterkenny Town. Although our school location is urban we enjoy stunning views over the river Swilly, to the glens of Glenswilly parish and beyond. We feel the ever changing nature of our surroundings is reflected in nature itself and has an intrinsic appeal to primary school children in particular. Geographic and economic migration are evident in our surroundings.
