‘Portraiture is an exciting and challenging area of practice for the artist. It requires a unique combination of sensitivity to the portrait subject and the application of the artists own expressive language.’ – Alan McGowan
The workshop will involve the use of drawing and oil painting. Over the course of the two days we will look at the structure of the face and an approach to drawing, painting and mark-making.
Working with portrait models participants will produce drawn and painted studies on the first day and a more extended painting on day two.
Suitable for all levels.
A materials list will be forwarded to participants following registration.
