In this intensive one-day workshop, you will learn Van Gogh’s method, techniques, bright palette and wide range of influences, and reproduce one of his landscape masterworks.

The main learning in this workshop is to understand the expressive use of colour in landscape painting, how and why his palette works, how to bring the same vibrancy and spontaneity to your own work, and become more confident in your brushwork.

We will focus specifically on Van Gogh’s period in the south of France from 1888-90, a prolific breakthrough, where he completed 200 paintings and more than 100 drawings and watercolours.
