Workshop | 2-Day Intaglio Printmaking Course with Anne McDonnell at Butler Gallery

Learn the art of Intaglio print at Butler Gallery. Throughout the course participants will take an experimental approach to drypoint print, where you will experiment with scribing into aluminium, before adding colour with Chine colle. Each class will begin with a demonstration and a chat about the printmaking processes we are using on that day, preparing sketches for the plate and the workings of the etching press.
For our last session we will have an introduction to linocutting, preparing sketches for linocutting, exploring different tools, and different ways to print our blocks.
