Workshop | Abstraction and Representation in Oils with Gabhann Dunne at Artform

The course focuses on how oil paint allows for a space between abstraction and representation. The main system of painting taught is wet on wet. Instruction concentrates on brushwork, colour mixing, grounds, glazing and tonal balance, with the aim of encouraging a more intuitive understanding of oil paint and its application while still referencing representation. Gabhann will show how to achieve this while accommodating each student to further their own goals in painting. Artform artist-led courses takes place in our Dunmore East seaside studio with 24hr access for each artist.
