Workshop | Concrete Casting for Beginners at Common Knowledge

A beginners weekend workshop where you will experiment with concrete and learn the necessary skills to create pieces with this versatile material for your home. Over the course of the weekend, you’ll learn how to design, create, cast and polish your own 2D concrete tiles or table top.

In this workshop we will delve into concrete’s history, application and environmental impact whilst exploring the creative possibilities of such a functional, yet versatile building material. The skills learned over the course of this weekend are transferable to your future concrete casting projects, such as stool tops, benches, slabs and worktops.

What do I take away?

Leave with an understanding of the creative possibilities and ability of casting concrete forms as well as 4-6 cast concrete tile samples. You will also leave with your own poured concrete slab / tile / table top in a mold to finish at home once it has fully cured.
