Workshop | Experimental Casting with Helle Helsner and Róisín Foley at The Straw Barn

This day long workshop will introduce participants to basic metal casting techniques that are environmentally sound and experimental in nature. Participants will learn how to make a simple furnace and crucible, and cast using open face clay and cuttlefish moulds, working with tin. The workshop will be held at the Straw Barn. The Straw Barn  is a new arts studio on the West Cork coast which hosts and advocates for nature-centred collaborative arts practice through embodied learning and queer hospitality.
