Workshop | Firing Retreat with Simon Kidd on Oileán Chléire

Join Simon Kidd on Irelands southernmost island, Oileán Chléire, for a three day workshop. Spend a long weekend firing up to 18 of your pots in five different firings; barrel pit firing, raku, fast fired wood, and two soda firings.

Over the weekend you’ll learn how these different firings work and you’ll learn how to build your own gas fired soda kiln. You’ll also be able to immerse yourself in the islands culture with different organised activities across the island.

This workshop is suitable for all levels, but you will need to bring your own bisc fired pots with you.
