Beginners to oil painting are very much encouraged. Experienced artists can add to their repertoire. Taught by artist Sheila Flaherty.
8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th Sept, 6th and 13th of October 2025
Monday evenings 7-9.30pm
On the first evening you will need to bring an A3 canvas/wooden primed panel. I will explain the art materials used for oil painting. Then from the second evening on bring your paints, brushes etc
On the first evening we will begin the transfer process. A full demonstration is given. No prior experience is necessary.
During this course we will cover transfer of the design to the canvas, setting up your palette, materials to use for best practice, colour mixing, application of paint, edges, value, chroma, light and shade, layering, glazing, brush care and finishing.
Material are not provided.
You will paint from the printed reference. A printed reference photo will be provided.
